Our Story
A New Company and an Old Friend
Blue Moon Bay Painting is a trusted “old friend” in the commercial and residential painting arena in the San Luis Valley. We were founded by the late Stephen Goldstein in 1995 as Blue Moon Bay Painting. Steve was known for his extreme care for family, larger than life personality, and a strong “get-things-done” work ethic.
During Steve’s final cancer journey in 2019, many friends, leaders, customers, and vendors came forward to show their support to Steve, his customers, and contractors. The outpouring of love was incredible. This is why, now, as Blue Moon Painters carries on, that we wish to give back that same Fresh Coat of Love to all we do.
As Steve’s former life-partner as well as “business partner in the background”, I’m now bringing the best of Blue Moon Bay Painting forward as we reorganize into a new company. As an artist and painter myself, I was often the quiet “Yin” to Steve’s boisterous “Yang” personality. While he held all the outward courage and grit in running a business, I often held the quiet faith and supportive care behind the scenes.
The company continues to bring forth all of the vision and passion that Steve brought to the table into a new fiscally sound, highly professional, caring business of quality, ease, and servant-leadership. Our crews still bring their decades of experience to every job with devotion to the quality work that Blue Moon Bay and our customers require and value.
